Degree in Happiness: A Practical Course in Joy, Gratitude, Resilience, and Meaning
- Psychology
- 2 (Registered)
Degree in Happiness is a gentle, practical online course designed to help you cultivate Happiness as a lived practice rather than a distant goal.
Across six reflective modules, you will explore how Happiness can grow through attention, gratitude, emotional resilience, kindness, connection, and meaningful contribution. This course does not ask you to pretend that life is perfect. Instead, it teaches you how to notice small lights, return after difficult moments, receive goodness more fully, and create a personal happiness practice that can support everyday wellbeing.
You will be guided through reflective lessons, journalling prompts, grounding exercises, gratitude practices, resilience tools, kindness reflections, and a final Happiness Declaration. At the end of the course, you can complete your personal Degree in Happiness certificate as a symbolic recognition of your journey.
This course is suitable for anyone who wants to live with more awareness, emotional steadiness, appreciation, kindness, and meaning.
Curriculum
- 6 Sections
- 54 Lessons
- 6 Weeks
- Module 1: What Happiness Really IsHappiness is not a permanent mood, a perfect life, or the absence of difficulty. It is a way of relating to life with more awareness, warmth, steadiness, gratitude, and meaning. This first module helps learners loosen unrealistic ideas about happiness and begin building a practical, compassionate foundation for the course.7
- Module 2: Attention and the Inner WeatherHappiness is shaped not only by what happens to us, but also by how attention moves through experience. This module teaches learners to notice their inner weather, understand how attention colours emotion, and practise simple grounding skills that support steadiness, clarity, and emotional choice.8
- Module 3: Gratitude Without PretendingGratitude is not the denial of difficulty. It is the practice of widening perception so that hardship is not the only thing the mind can see.
