Definition of Malpractice: Malpractice is defined as any deliberate or negligent act that compromises the integrity, validity, or fairness of the assessment process, or that violates the rules and regulations set forth by iHypnosis™ College.
Examples of Malpractice:
- Plagiarism:
- Copying or presenting someone else’s work, ideas, or intellectual property as one’s own without proper citation.
- Cheating:
- Using unauthorized materials, devices, or assistance during assessments.
- Impersonation:
- Having someone else take an assessment on behalf of the enrolled individual.
- Collusion:
- Collaborating with others to produce work that is submitted as individual work.
- Unauthorized Access:
- Gaining unauthorized access to assessment materials, answers, or any confidential information.
Prevention:
- Clear Guidelines:
- iHypnosis™ College will provide guidelines to students and staff regarding acceptable behavior and the consequences of malpractice.
Detection:
- Monitoring:
- iHypnosis™ College will implement measures to monitor and detect malpractice during assessments, including the use of plagiarism detection tools and proctoring services.
- Reporting:
- Students, staff, or other stakeholders who suspect or witness malpractice are encouraged to report it to Jakub Tencl, PhD at info@ihypnosis.org.uk.
Investigation:

- Reports of malpractice will be promptly investigated by iHypnosis™ College’s Malpractice Investigation Committee.

- The investigation process will be fair and impartial, allowing the accused individual an opportunity to provide their perspective.
Consequences:
- Academic Consequences:
- Individuals found guilty of malpractice may face consequences ranging from a warning to the cancellation of assessment results or expulsion from the training program.
Appeals:
- Individuals have the right to appeal decisions related to malpractice in accordance with iHypnosis™ College’s Appeals Policy.
Record Keeping:
- Records of malpractice cases, investigations, and outcomes will be maintained in accordance with iHypnosis™ College’s record-keeping policies.
